Implant care from one doctor, start to finish

Implant treatment often gets split between several providers: one for imaging, one for surgery, and another for the crown or denture that goes on top. At Bayside Dental Arts, Dr. Ilyabayev plans, places, and restores your implants himself, so the person who maps your jawbone is the same person who fits your final teeth.

A dental implant is a small titanium post placed in the jawbone where a tooth is missing. Over the following months the bone grows around the post, a process called osseointegration, until it is anchored like a natural root. That post can then support a single crown, a bridge across several missing teeth, or a full arch of replacement teeth. Because an implant stimulates the bone the way a root does, it also helps slow the bone loss that follows tooth loss.

Our in-house dental lab uses CAD design, 3D printing, and milling, so many restorations are designed and made in the same building where you are treated rather than sent to an outside lab. Our team speaks English, Spanish, and Russian.

Which implant option fits you?

The right treatment depends mostly on how many teeth you are missing and how much healthy bone remains. Start with your situation.

Single tooth implant

One post and one custom crown replace the missing tooth. The healthy teeth on either side are left alone, unlike a traditional bridge, which requires reshaping them to hold it in place.

  • ImplantsOne per missing tooth
  • TimelineSeveral months, most of it healing time
  • Best forA gap between healthy teeth

Implant-supported bridge

When several teeth in a row are missing, two implants can anchor a bridge that spans the whole gap, so you need fewer posts than missing teeth and no natural teeth are reshaped to support it.

  • ImplantsUsually two, at either end of the gap
  • TimelineSeveral months, most of it healing time
  • Best forThree or more consecutive missing teeth

All-on-4 or All-on-6

A complete arch of replacement teeth secured on four or six implants. All-on-6 adds two implants for extra support when bone density is lower. Qualifying patients can leave with a temporary arch the same day as surgery through Teeth in a Day.

  • ImplantsFour or six per arch
  • ReplacesCommonly 12 to 14 teeth
  • Best forMost or all teeth missing, or failing dentures

Your treatment, step by step

Most implant cases follow the same four stages. Healing time between placement and the final restoration is the longest part.

  1. Step 1

    Consultation and 3D scan

Dr. Ilyabayev maps your jawbone and sinus position with 3D CBCT imaging and walks you through your options.

  2. Step 2

    Implant placement

The post is placed under local anesthetic. Nitrous oxide is available to any patient, and IV sedation is available for implant treatment.

  3. Step 3

    Healing

Over several months the bone fuses with the post. You will not be without teeth while this happens.

  4. Step 4

    Final restoration

Your crown, bridge, or arch is designed in our in-house lab and fitted to the implants.

Told you do not have enough bone?

Bone shrinks after a tooth is lost, and some patients hear that they are not candidates for implants because of it. That is not always the end of the conversation. Bone grafting can rebuild the area first, and sinus augmentation can add height in the upper jaw where the sinus sits close to the roots.

All-on-6 can also help when bone density is lower, since six implants spread the bite across more points. Your 3D scan shows exactly how much bone you have to work with.

Cost and payment

Implant cost depends on how many implants you need, whether grafting is required, and the type of restoration. You will get a specific estimate after your consultation and scan.

Bayside Dental Arts accepts PPO insurance and offers financing through CareCredit, Cherry, Alphaeon, and LendingClub. Consultations are free for larger implant treatment plans.

Questions Nassau County patients ask

How do I get to your office from Great Neck or Manhasset?

Bayside Dental Arts is at 213-07 Northern Blvd in Bayside. You can drive west on Northern Boulevard (Route 25A) or take the LIRR Port Washington Branch to the Bayside station.

How long does the implant process take?

Most cases take several months from placement to final restoration, because the bone needs time to fuse with the post. Qualifying full-arch patients can leave with a temporary set of teeth the same day through Teeth in a Day.

Can I get implants if I have lost bone?

Often, yes. Bone grafting or sinus augmentation can rebuild the area before implants are placed, and All-on-6 can help when bone density is lower. Your 3D scan shows what is possible.

Do you offer sedation for implant surgery?

Nitrous oxide is available to any patient. IV sedation is available in conjunction with implant treatment.

How long do dental implants last?

A 2026 systematic review of long-term studies found about 93 percent of implants were still in place after 20 years. Brushing, flossing, and regular checkups help yours last.

Does insurance cover dental implants?

Coverage varies by plan. Bayside Dental Arts accepts PPO insurance, helps verify your benefits before treatment, and offers financing through CareCredit, Cherry, Alphaeon, and LendingClub.
