Dentures

Restorative Dentistry

A full smile.
Built to fit.

Dentures replace some or all of your natural teeth with a custom, removable appliance designed to look and function naturally. Dr. Andrey Ilyabayev partners with trusted denture labs to design complete and partial dentures for patients across Bayside, Queens, and the surrounding NY area.

What Makes This Treatment Worth It

Restores Your Full Smile
Replace missing teeth with a complete, natural-looking arch, restoring both appearance and chewing ability.
Custom Fit, Not Generic
Each denture is fabricated from an exact model of your mouth, with fitting appointments before the final piece is made.
A Path to More Stability
If you want a fixed alternative down the road, implant-supported options are available and discussed honestly upfront.

Complete vs. Partial Dentures

Which type of denture fits your situation depends entirely on how many natural teeth remain.

All Teeth Missing

Complete Dentures
A full set of replacement teeth for an entire arch, supported by the gums and underlying bone once every natural tooth in that arch is gone.

Some Teeth Remaining

Partial Dentures
Replacement teeth attached to a gum-colored base, held in place with a metal framework or clasps that connect to your remaining natural teeth.

What to Expect

01 / PLAN

Consultation & Planning
Dr. Ilyabayev assesses your bone structure and remaining teeth to map out full vs. partial, and whether an implant-supported option makes sense.
02 / IMPRESSIONS

Impressions & Measurements
Precise impressions and bite measurements capture the exact dimensions of your mouth.
03 / TRY-IN

Try-In Fitting
A trial denture lets you and Dr. Ilyabayev verify fit, bite, and appearance before the final version is made.
04 / DELIVER

Delivery & Follow-Up
Your final denture is delivered and adjusted, with follow-up visits as your gum tissue adapts over the following weeks.

Getting Used to Your New Dentures

New dentures can feel unfamiliar at first, whether they are complete or partial. Some looseness while your cheek and tongue muscles learn to keep the denture in place is normal, as is mild irritation or increased saliva flow in the first few weeks. Dr. Ilyabayev will schedule follow-up visits to adjust the fit and address any sore spots as your mouth adapts.

Caring for Your Dentures

Dentures should be cleaned daily and handled carefully to avoid bending or breaking clasps. The American Dental Association recommends having removable dentures evaluated by a dentist if they no longer fit well, show visible wear or damage, or once it has been more than five years since they were made, since underlying gum and bone shape naturally change over time (ADA).

Considering More Stability?

If you are missing most or all of your teeth and want a fixed alternative to a removable denture, Dr. Ilyabayev also places implant-supported full-arch restorations.

All-on-4 Implants

A fixed arch of teeth supported by four implants
All-on-6 Implants

Additional support across a full arch

Frequently Asked Questions

Will My Dentures Look Natural?

Yes. Dentures are custom-made to fit your mouth and designed to look natural alongside the rest of your smile.

How Long Do Dentures Last?

Dentures are generally evaluated for replacement around every five years, or sooner if they no longer fit well or show visible wear, since your gums and jawbone shape change over time.

Can I Eat Normally With Dentures?

Most patients adjust to eating with dentures within a few weeks. Starting with softer foods and cutting food into smaller pieces can help during the adjustment period.

How Many Appointments Does It Take to Get Dentures?

The process typically involves several visits over a few weeks for impressions, a try-in fitting, and final delivery. If any extractions are needed first, a healing period comes before the final dentures are made.

Does Insurance Cover Dentures?

Coverage varies by plan. Bayside Dental Arts works with PPO insurance and offers financing through CareCredit, Cherry, and LendingClub.
